Welcome to Arne Skinlo Photography. These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through www.arneskinlo.com, including physical fine art prints and digital photographic downloads.

My aim is to offer a straightforward and enjoyable experience when acquiring my photographic artworks, wherever you are in the world.

Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By purchasing through this website, you agree to the applicable terms below. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

2. ORDERS AND PAYMENT

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

Each product page provides information about the artwork, available formats, dimensions, edition details and price, as applicable.

Prices and currencies are displayed in the online shop. Applicable taxes, shipping costs and other mandatory charges will be disclosed before you complete your purchase, as required by law.

Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods available at checkout. An order confirmation will be sent to the email address provided when placing the order.

If an item becomes unavailable or an error affects a product description or price, I will contact you to discuss an appropriate solution. If an order cannot be fulfilled, any refund due will be processed in accordance with applicable law.

3. PHYSICAL FINE ART PRINTS

Physical artworks are produced using carefully selected materials and professional printing techniques.

Each product page describes the relevant print, including its available size, edition information and other specifications.

Where stated on the product page, limited-edition prints are signed and numbered and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Photographs displayed on a screen may differ slightly from the finished print due to display settings, lighting conditions, colour calibration and the characteristics of the printing materials.

The dimensions, materials, edition size and other relevant characteristics stated on the product page form part of the product description.

Purchasing a physical print transfers ownership of that particular physical item only. Copyright and all intellectual property rights remain with the photographer.

4. DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHIC DOWNLOADS

Digital products consist of photographic files supplied electronically, as described on the relevant product page.

Following successful payment, digital files will be made available through the download method specified at checkout or in your order confirmation.

You are responsible for providing a valid email address and having a compatible device, suitable software and an internet connection to access your purchase.

Digital downloads are supplied in the file format and resolution stated on the product page. Please review the product description carefully before purchasing.

If a download link does not work, a file is missing or the supplied file is defective, please contact me at arne.skinlo@gmail.com, so that I can help resolve the issue.

Digital products are licensed for the permitted uses described in Section 7. Purchasing a digital file does not transfer copyright ownership.

5. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Physical Prints

Physical artworks are shipped internationally to destinations available at checkout.

Shipping options, costs and estimated delivery times will be displayed during the ordering process or otherwise communicated before the purchase is completed.

Prints are packaged with care to help protect them during transportation.

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delivery may be affected by carrier delays, customs procedures, weather conditions or other circumstances beyond my control.

International Orders, Customs and Taxes

Orders shipped outside Norway may be subject to import duties, customs charges, local taxes or handling fees imposed by the destination country.

Unless expressly stated otherwise during checkout, these charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and any information reasonably required for delivery or customs clearance.

Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Orders

If your print arrives damaged, is defective, is incorrect or does not arrive within a reasonable time, please contact me at arne.skinlo@gmail.com.

Please include your order number and, where relevant, photographs of the artwork and packaging.

I will investigate the issue and work with you to find an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable law. This may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund, depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights relating to delivery, defective products or loss during transportation.

6. RETURNS, REFUNDS AND RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

I want you to be happy with your purchase. The following conditions apply subject to mandatory consumer protection legislation.

Physical Fine Art Prints

For online purchases made by consumers, a statutory right of withdrawal generally applies. Under Norwegian law, this normally provides a 14-day withdrawal period, subject to applicable legal requirements and exceptions.

The withdrawal period generally begins on the day after you receive the physical artwork.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please notify me at arne.skinlo@gmail.com
within the applicable withdrawal period. Please identify your order and clearly state that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.

Unless otherwise agreed or required by law, the artwork must be returned within the applicable statutory deadline.

The customer is responsible for direct return shipping costs when exercising the right of withdrawal, where permitted by law and where this responsibility has been properly disclosed before purchase.

Please package the artwork securely and retain proof of postage.

Refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable law. Where permitted, reimbursement may be withheld until the returned item has been received or evidence of return has been provided.

You may handle the artwork to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. Where legally permitted, compensation for a reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for inspection may be deducted.

Digital Downloads

Digital content supplied electronically may be subject to different withdrawal rules from physical products.

Where required by law, you will be asked to provide your express consent to the commencement of digital delivery during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once delivery begins, where that is the legal consequence.

Any required consent and acknowledgement will be obtained through the purchase process separately from general acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

If the required consent has not been obtained, or if the applicable law provides otherwise, your statutory withdrawal rights remain unaffected.

Digital products that are defective, inaccessible or not as described may entitle you to remedies under applicable consumer protection law.

If you experience a technical problem with a digital download, please contact arne.skinlo@gmail.com so that I can help resolve it.

Faulty Products and Consumer Rights

The right of withdrawal is separate from your statutory rights concerning defective or non-conforming products.

If an artwork or digital file does not conform to the purchase agreement, please contact me to discuss an appropriate remedy.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

7. COPYRIGHT AND USAGE RIGHTS

All photographs, artworks, images and related creative materials displayed on this website are protected by copyright and applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, all copyright and intellectual property rights remain with Arne Skinlo.

Physical Prints

Purchasing a physical print gives you ownership of the physical artwork only. It does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce, scan, copy, distribute, publish or commercially exploit the photograph.

Digital Files

Purchasing a digital file grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal use only, unless a different licence is expressly stated on the relevant product page or agreed in writing.

You may download and store the purchased file for your own personal use, subject to the terms of the applicable product licence.

Unless expressly authorised in writing, you may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, share or give away the original digital file.

  • Upload the file to public websites, image libraries or file-sharing services.

  • Reproduce the photograph for commercial purposes.

  • Use the photograph in advertising, merchandise, publications or products for sale.

  • Claim authorship of the photograph or misrepresent its origin.

  • Grant sublicences or otherwise transfer your usage rights to another party.

For commercial licensing, publication rights, editorial use or other permissions beyond personal use, please contact arne.skinlo@gmail.com.
