The intention with my works is not to document what I see. Actually, I have a picture in my head of what it looks like on the wall before I push the shutter button. The viewers shall make up their own minds of what they feel when they watch one of my works.
Each work is released in limited editions only, numbered and signed. All my prints are printed on archival material and done by hand.
The intention behind my work is not to document what I see. Before I press the shutter, I already have an image in my mind. Call it a vision of how the finished work will live on a wall.
What you see, and more importantly what you feel, is entirely your own. I want each viewer to form their own connection with the work and create their own interpretation.
I want the people who live with my work to feel that they own something personal, something with a story, and perhaps a story of their own to tell.
My work is created to enhance and complement the spirit of the home it becomes part of.
Each piece is released in a strictly limited edition, individually numbered and signed. All prints are produced by hand on carefully selected archival materials.

In a world flooded with images, choosing an artwork can be difficult. When you buy an artwork from me, you can be confident that you are receiving an original, limited-edition work created to the highest standards throughout every stage of the process.
Most of my images are captured with a Fujifilm GFX 100S medium-format camera, offering 100 megapixels of resolution. This allows even very large artworks to retain an exceptional level of detail and quality.
The editing process is an important part of my work, and it often takes days or even weeks. When I feel that an image is finished on the screen, I print it and live with it on the wall for several days. I view it from both close up and at a distance, allowing me to see how the work truly functions as a physical artwork. This process is often repeated several times before I am satisfied with the final edition.
All my works are produced as limited editions, normally ranging from a maximum of 10 prints down to as few as 3. The printing is carried out to the highest standards using fine art papers from Canson or Hahnemühle, selected for their exceptional quality and longevity.
Every artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a story about the work, giving you a deeper understanding of its background and creation.
I personally take care of the packaging and shipping to ensure that the same level of care and attention goes into the final stage of the process. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact me and I will do my best to find a solution.

Who is Arne Skinlo
I am a Norwegian photographer and artist, based in Bergen, Norway.
Photography has been part of my life for many years, and over time it has developed into a broader artistic practice. Working with my own photographs, the finished works often move beyond traditional photography through digital editing and careful refinement.
I am particularly drawn to simple forms, strong lines, light, and the subtle qualities found in landscapes and architecture. I look for images that have a sense of calm and balance, but also something that makes you want to look a little longer.
Much of my work is about reducing rather than adding — finding the essential elements in an image and giving them room to breathe.
The finished works are produced as fine art prints, created to be experienced as original works of art in a home or other carefully considered space.
For me, the most rewarding part of the process is when a work finds its place with someone else and continues to bring them enjoyment long after they first saw it.
How I work
My work starts with photography.
I am always looking for interesting shapes, lines, light and details in the world around me. Sometimes I know immediately that I have found something worth photographing. Other times, an image grows in importance over time.
Back in the studio, I work with the photographs digitally. The aim is not to make the image more complicated, but to find a stronger and more balanced expression.
I spend a great deal of time looking at the details. Small changes can make a significant difference to the overall feeling of a work.
I want the finished image to feel simple and natural, even when the process behind it has been quite extensive.
The final step is to produce the work as a fine art print. At this stage, size, paper, colour and surface become part of the work itself.
I always make a test print and hang it on the wall, where I live with it for a while. What looks right on a screen does not always look right on a wall. Seeing the work in its intended physical form often reveals things that are difficult to see on a monitor.
